Free Landlord Information Evening
A FREE Landlord Information Evening is being held at the Civic Offices later this month.
All property landlords are invited to attend the event on Thursday 20th October.
The National Landlords Association will be giving a presentation on the Right to Rent legislation while deposit protection scheme My Deposits will be offering advice about tenancy deposits.
HGR Accountancy Ltd will also be on hand to cover tax updates for landlords and the topic of making tax digital.
Guests will have the opportunity to speak to a wide variety of teams from Reading Borough Council and there will be plenty of opportunity for networking.
Councillor Richard Davies, Reading’s Lead Member for Housing, who will be introducing the evening, said:
“The private rented accommodation sector is increasingly important in Reading and the council offers a range of services both for landlords and tenants.
“We have increased the level of resource to develop a positive relationship with private landlords in the town and to drive up good practice in the sector.
“This event is a great opportunity for landlords to have an informal chat with council officers and to find out about any upcoming changes in regulations and legislation from the experts.
“I hope to see a good turnout of the town’s landlords who can also take advantage of the situation to network and share information with others in the industry.”
The Landlord Information Evening will open at 5.20pm with presentations start at 6pm. All landlords are welcome.
