Aggravated Burglary In Earley – Thames Valley Police Appealing For Witnesses

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an aggravated burglary in Earley.

The incident occurred between 11.30pm on Wednesday (26/1) and 12:30am on Thursday (27/1) at a property in Wokingham Road.

The victims, a man and woman both in their sixties, were alerted to men entering their home armed with crowbars.

The offenders took mobile phones from the victims before searching the property.

The man sustained a broken arm and cuts to his head and lips.

He was treated at Royal Berkshire Hospital for his injuries and has since been discharged.

Jewellery with an estimated value of £30,000 was stolen.

Investigating officer, DS Mark Boyd, based at Loddon Valley police station, said: “We are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of this incident and saw anything suspicious to come forward.

“We would also urge anyone with relevant CCTV or dash cam footage to get in touch.
