Caversham Business, The Alto Lounge, Raises Hundreds For Sue Ryder
The Alto Lounge in Caversham has raised hundreds for Sue Ryder after a holding a range of events throughout June and July.
Every year, Lounges restaurant chain holds ‘LoungeAid’, supporting a number of charities in its local community, and this year Alto Lounge decided to raise funds for Sue Ryder, which runs the Reading based hospice, Sue Ryder Duchess of Kent Hospice.
By hosting activities ranging from quiz nights to competitions Alto Lounge raised almost £500, helping Sue Ryder to continue to be there when it matters.
Katie Upton, manager at the Alto Lounge, said: “We’re thrilled to have supported Sue Ryder during this year’s LoungeAid. We’ve hosted a number of events ranging from bake sales to biscuit decorating competitions and are proud to have raised vital funds for a charity within our local community.”
Ashni Parmar, community fundraiser at Sue Ryder Duchess of Kent Hospice, said: “On behalf of Sue Ryder I want to extend a huge thank you to Alto Lounge for choosing to support our charity during their LoungeAid. Support like this means we can continue to be there during the hardest times for the people who need us the most.”
