Reading's hotels and guesthouses have seen more and more demand as its population grows. Monday to Thursday are the busiest days, whilst weekends are a good choice for bargain breaks.



The Oracle is the embodiments of cafe culture with bars, cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. All the water-front venues offer pavement cafes for open air wining and dining. Top names include several you wont find anywhere outside of London - Santa Fe, Chilli's, Ma Potters, Old Orleans, Nando's, Slug and Lettuce, and Ken Hom's Yellow River Cafe. Late night venues include Bar Med, Bar 39, and Brannigans. In the centre itself you'll find a wide choice of cafes and coffee shops.
